八 | 他也指出，若是发生火患，喝醉酒的人吸入烟，也会因为缺氧，加剧晕眩。受访专家表示，电子烟的电池装置起火的话，一般只会是突然短暂的火势。因为电子烟使用的是锂电池，电量比一般电池大，一旦短路的话，会产生明火燃烧。

九 | 不过专家也说，电池在烧完后就结束，但如果周围有易燃物，因此被点燃，那就另当别论。南洋理工大学电气与电子工程学院副教授谢国祥博士告诉本报，电子烟的电压不足以造成触电。也是电磁效应研究实验室主任的他说：“不过如果是因为短路问题，电池可能会爆炸。这也就是航空公司只允许随身携带充电宝，而不允许托运的原因。”据了解，事后民防人员把死者的个人物品，包括手表和戒指，都交还给家属。不过，死者的手机仍被当局留下做调查。死者的口袋或有电子烟而起火，但手机是否也是导致起火的原因，还有待当局调查。
